Before you book

What it costs and what arrives

How much does a promotional video cost in Perth?

At Wave Motions Studio a one-off content shoot starts at A$550 for personal brands and A$750 for businesses, and event coverage starts at A$550. Ongoing content is billed per fortnight, from A$480 for personal brands and A$680 for businesses. Every price includes a two-person crew and all the editing — there are no separate camera, editing or travel fees within Perth city and the surrounding suburbs, up to thirty minutes from the CBD. Content packages also include the raw footage. Locations beyond that radius may carry a travel fee, agreed before booking.

Why is business content priced differently from personal brand?

It is not about the amount of content — it is about what goes into the session. A personal brand shoot works with one person who already has a face and a voice, and the crew builds around that. A business has no single face, so the personality of the brand has to be found through the team, the space, the process and the product. That means coordinating several people, trying combinations and working through angles until something feels authentic. The creative effort is higher because the brand’s identity has to be discovered on set, not just captured.

What is included in a content package?

Every package includes a two-person crew on location, all the editing, the finished pieces ready to publish, the raw footage from the shoot, and direct line support. A one-off business package books up to two hours on location — around an hour and a half of that is filming — and returns four reels, two story videos, one image post and one carousel. Nothing is quoted as an extra afterwards.

Do you cover events?

Yes. Event coverage starts at A$550 for two hours on site. The crew captures the highlights rather than recording the event end to end, and every package returns two pieces: a highlight reel of about a minute for social, and an edited summary of up to ten minutes to keep. The A$750 package adds a third hour, a second highlight reel and crowd interaction — the crew interviews guests during the event instead of only filming them.

Is there a minimum commitment for ongoing packages?

Ongoing packages run on a three-month minimum, billed fortnightly, and there is a reason for the three months. A single session rarely produces the best results, because the crew and the client are still learning each other — how the space works, which formats feel natural, what style reflects the brand most honestly. The first session almost always runs longer and involves more experimenting. By the second and third there is more chemistry and more flow. Three months is roughly when a feed stops looking like scattered posts and starts reading as a brand. One-off shoots and event coverage have no commitment at all.

What types of businesses do you work with?

Wave Motions Studio works with restaurants, cafés, fitness studios, trades, professional services, community organisations and event producers across Perth. The approach is the same regardless of industry: the crew comes to the location, captures what makes the business real, and turns it into content that fits the platforms the audience already uses.

On the day

Who turns up and how it runs

Do I have to appear on camera?

No. Not everyone needs to be in front of the camera. Wave Motions Studio builds content around whatever the brand already has — the team, the space, the product, the process. For restaurants and studios, most of the strongest content has no one talking to camera at all.

Do you work from a script?

It depends on the session. Some shoots are completely organic: the crew reads the room and works with what happens naturally. Others benefit from a loose script or some direction to guide the flow. Both are agreed beforehand in conversation, never forced on the day. In some sessions a member of the crew steps in on camera alongside the client to demonstrate ideas, break the ice and set the energy — it helps people feel comfortable, see what the content looks like in practice, and get motivated to jump in themselves.

How long does a session take?

Around an hour and a half of filming, inside a two-hour booking. The extra half hour is not padding: it goes on meeting the team, reading how the day is running and getting everything set. The first session may use more of it, because the crew is learning the space and the people; after that, sessions flow faster because both sides know what to expect. Personal brand shoots follow a similar rhythm but settle in quicker, because there is one person to focus on.

Which areas of Perth do you film in?

Wave Motions Studio films across Perth city and the surrounding suburbs, within a thirty-minute radius of the CBD, and travel inside that area is included in the price. Locations beyond it can be arranged with a travel fee agreed before booking. The crew comes to the location — the restaurant, the studio, the venue, the office — rather than asking clients to come to a set.

How many people come to film?

Two, on every package, both with a camera in hand. They cover two angles at once: one stays close to the moments that are planned to happen, the other reads the room for the reactions and the energy in between. On a business shoot one of them also acts as conductor on set, cueing what happens next so the room keeps moving instead of stopping for a shot list.

Results and process

What to expect and how it builds

How quickly will I see results from content?

A single shoot produces usable content, but it rarely produces the best content. Knowing which techniques, formats and styles work for a brand takes experimentation: the crew has to try different approaches with different people until it finds what feels most natural. That cannot be rushed into one session. Ongoing clients typically see a noticeable difference from the second month, once the format and the rhythm are established and the content starts to accumulate.

What makes a great session?

The best sessions happen when everyone on set reaches what the crew calls a playful environment — a two-way connection where the shoot stops feeling like a production and starts feeling enjoyable. The crew brings easy-going, motivated energy to every session, but every client, every team and every space is different. Early sessions may feel uncertain, and that is normal: trust builds over time, and as it does the content gets more authentic and the results follow. The first session is a starting point, not the finished product.

After the shoot

Delivery, footage and what comes next

How long does it take to get the videos?

One-off shoots are delivered within five business days of filming. Ongoing packages follow a fortnightly rhythm: Wave Motions Studio films every two weeks and delivers the edited content before the next session, so there is always material scheduled ahead.

Do I get the raw footage?

On content packages, yes: every one includes the raw footage at no extra cost, edited pieces and unused material alike. Event coverage works differently — what comes back is the edited summary and the highlight reels, which is the material the event is actually for.

What happens if I need to reschedule a shoot?

Shoots can be rescheduled with at least forty-eight hours notice at no extra cost. With less than forty-eight hours notice the session is forfeited. Weather-dependent outdoor shoots are rescheduled automatically, with no penalty.

Do you offer services beyond video production?

Yes. Brand identity, paid advertising, landing pages and social media management are part of what Wave Motions Studio offers. These are scoped in the discovery call rather than listed as fixed packages, because what each business needs depends entirely on what already exists.

Getting started

From first message to filming date

What if I don’t know which package I need?

Four questions on the quiz page point to a starting point based on the type of brand, the goal and the budget. It takes under a minute. If the answer still is not obvious, a conversation resolves it faster than any page.

Can I see examples of your work?

Yes. Wave Motions Studio shares recent work on Instagram at @wavemotions.au. The feed shows the range of styles, industries and formats the crew works with, so it is the fastest way to see whether the look and feel fits the brand.

How do we start?

Send a message through the contact form or call +61 410 890 527. The first step is always a conversation: what the business does, who it is trying to reach and what has been tried so far. From there Wave Motions Studio proposes a package, agrees a filming date and books it in.
